[ad_1]

Auston Matthews pulled off a rare accomplishment as the Toronto Maple Leafs continue an impressive run following their victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti go over all the action from Saturday starting with Matthews scoring a pair of goals to give him 51 goals in his last 50 games. Dave and Mike put in perspective why the accomplishment shouldn’t be overlooked given the historical significance of Matthews’ season. They hand out their three stars of the game looking at other players who impressed against Montreal including Jake Muzzin, T.J. Brodie, John Tavares and Erik Kallgren. To end the show, Mike and Dave look at the final stretch of the season to see how Toronto should plan their goaltending tandem and whether they should be considering giving Jack Campbell more days off or make sure he has momentum going into the playoffs. They also touch on the Leafs planning to meet Matthew Knies in hopes of convincing him to turn pro.
