Leafs lose Matthews for two games

[ad_1]

The Toronto Maple Leafs were dealt a tough blow as they will be without Auston Matthews for two games after he was suspended for a cross check on Rasmus Dahlin. David Morassutti is joined by Jake Middleton to break down the suspension and whether it was a justified length and if Leafs fans are right to be upset with the ruling. With Matthews out of the lineup, they look at the adjustments Toronto has to make and what changes we can expect. They preview the game against the Dallas Stars looking at what will be key for them in that matchup and if they start to play up to their opponent. To end the show, Dave and Jake discuss the Colorado Avalanche trading for Josh Manson and whether that sets the stage for more moves and if the Leafs should remain interested in a rental player or try to swing higher. Jake explains why Jakob Chychrun remains the ideal target even with his injury and Dave looks at whether the team should be worried about the Boston Bruins being two points behind them for third place in the Atlantic Division.
