Positive/Negative Leafs trends to start season

[ad_1]

It might only be seven games into the Toronto Maple Leafs but that means we cannot look at positive and negative trends that have come up so far this season. David Morassutti goes solo to give you his thoughts on what he’s noticed about the Leafs that are encouraging and in some ways unsettling. Before he gets to his trends, he provides his thoughts on Jake Muzzin getting placed on LTIR and wondering whether that’s something we should be reading into right now (0:00). He starts his positive/negative trend looking at Toronto’s play at 5-on-5 which has not been great to start the season and what are some of the reasons they have struggled at even strength and what they can do to get back on track (10:10). Dave ends the show looking at the team’s goaltending and how Ilya Samsonov has brought stability despite Matt Murray’s unfortunate injury to start the season (23:35).
